After years spent building a career in the corporate world, Diane Greenbaum realized she wanted to explore a new professional journey that allowed her to combine her business experience with the scheduling flexibility to spend time with her family. When she discovered Kidcreate Studio, Diane knew that our children’s activities franchise was the perfect fit for her.
Realizing her current goals in life no longer matched the goals she set for herself in the past, Diane decided that she was ready to move on to a new career path. With a three-year-old son now in her life, Diane sought out opportunities that integrated her strong business background with an increased work-life balance. “I started thinking, if I wanted to do something on my own, what would that look like?” Diane wondered. “Pondering that eventually led me to the children’s activities space.” She recognized how she had recently established a close network of mothers in the community through her son, and saw that a career opportunity lay in the realm of children’s activities and education. “Considering the network of moms and moms in business I’d grown since having a child and knowing all of the services and things you utilize as a parent, I thought it was a great space to explore.”
But instead of choosing to start completely on her own, Diane looked for a children’s activities franchise that had already established its brand reputation. Thus, she found Kidcreate Studio. “Alexandria is a beautiful area where people heavily invest in their children’s development, not just educationally, but experientially,” Diane states. “Parents here want kids to learn in different way and want those experiences to add value to their child’s life.” Kidcreate provides the perfect program for allowing children to engage in art education through experience by being hands-on and having fun. Since partnering with our franchise, Diane is actively exploring real estate options in the Alexandria community to find the perfect location for her new art studio.
Not only is she excited to grow her studio’s physical location, Diane is looking forward to taking advantage of our On-The-Go Studio to bring art to children throughout the Alexandria community. Through our On-The-Go program, we can send our art teachers directly to any location, whether it be schools, recreation centers, or summer camps. Diane wants to expand her reach and influence to offer our art services to as many children in the community as possible. Currently, she is exploring her partnership options with youth enrichment programs in her community through local elementary schools, preschools, and public recreation organizations.
Diane also holds great aspirations in growing and building her Kidcreate Studio outside of Alexandria as well. She hopes that her Alexandria location will be the first of several Kidcreate Studios she can bring to the Washington D.C. metro area. “Within two to five years, my goal is for this location to be running smoothly to the point where I can open two more locations in the D.C. area,” Diane expresses. “I’d look at areas like Fairfax and Loudoun County in Northern Virginia, and maybe Bethesda or Upper Marlboro in Maryland. There’s so much potential here.”
