All the good work done by the Foster Care Support Foundation would not be possible without its sponsors and participating organizations. That is why Kidcreate Studio- Johns Creek franchise owners, Federico Giraldo and Rocio Vale-Giraldo, stepped up to help by offering summer camp sponsorships to children in the Hope 4 Tomorrow Mentoring Program.
Children that are part of the program living in group, relative care, or foster homes were able to register for the sponsored summer camp at Kidcreate Studio in Johns Creek, GA. Based on the children’s enthusiasm about the free camp, Federico and Rocio hope to continue the program with weekly classes this fall.
When looking for opportunities to give back to their community, especially to kids in the community, Federico and Rocio were impressed by the services provided by the Foster Care Support Foundation and their Hope 4 Tomorrow Mentoring Program which has helped thousands by providing them with much-needed resources and education.

There are so many abused and neglected kids in Georgia and all over the world. With the advice, help, and care of adults, these kids can fulfill their potential and be successful in their lives. Foster Care Support Foundation aims to strengthen relative care and foster families so that they can help displaced children through education and community-based resources.
Foster Cares has supported and helped more than 70,000 children in Georgia in the last 21 years and continues to do so. We provide free clothing, toys, and infant equipment to foster and relative care homes. HOPE 4 TOMORROW MENTORING PROGRAM
The Hope 4 Tomorrow Mentoring Program by Foster Care Support Foundation offers resources and guidance for displaced kids and teens so that they can live a happy and successful life ahead. The program is in collaboration with many community partners, the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services, and corporations to promote academic, financial, and lifestyle growth for kids.
H4T program works one-on-one for pre-teens, infants, and teens living in relative care, group homes, foster, or kinship care. Mentees and mentors match based on different criteria like location, interests, hobbies, goals, etc.
Here are some of the activities that mentors and mentees take part in-
- Playing sports
- Dining out
- Attending seminars and workshops
- Taking a class
- Volunteering for community work
- Museum visits
- Waking in parks
- Chess
- Tutoring sessions
H4T is free of cost, with mentors responsible for picking and dropping off kids during visits. This ensures that participating children don’t need to endure transportation costs. Also, each mentor goes through a background check by Georgia’s Department of Human Services and has to complete mentor training and pass the interview process to match with a child.
The program is available to all children in relative or foster care homes in Cherokee, Cobb, Clayton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, or Forsyth counties. Mentees have to meet their mentors for at least 4 hours every month along with weekly communication through phones or emails.
