Kidcreate Studio’s Lara Olson is featured in Franchise Chatter
Lara Olson answers some questions about her Kidcreate Studio journey with Franchise Chatter. She admits that the idea for her first Kidcreate Studio came from the discouraging reality that her son, Jake, was receiving a limited amount of art exposure at school. Her son was frustrated with a lot of his classes, but always found joy when he could use his creative juices through art. Olson learned that kids receive less than one hour of art class at school per week and Kidcreate Studio could become the solution to add more art to education. In 2008, she opened her first store in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
At Kidcreate Studio, children 18 months through 12 years of age create art masterpieces while learning about art history, techniques, and concepts. Art education in public schools is slowly declining, but Kidcreate Studio has a mission to provide children with a wonderful world of art and unforgettable experiences.
“Our classes provide a fun, self-esteem building atmosphere filled with “I did it” moments. We give children a chance to explore art in an environment full of giggles and grins.”
